I just sent this in on another thread, I just figured you might all get a kick out of it, most don't even recall it now, or know it ever happened, one US guy was lost, there's apparently a marker somewhere on a highway in Maine about him, I'd seen mentioned a couple of times....

1839 was a long time after both the Revolution and the War of 1812. It is surprising that things had not been settled about such borders.
