Well, seems like the President may have reason to question military justice

Is the Marine Corps now expected to mandate that any future arrest of Marines suspected of crimes to only be conducted in private?

Sad, huh? Snatching at formation was just good economy of management. Don't join a human smuggling ring and you won't be arrested while in ranks. Folks at MCES still talk about an ex-Marine that was drummed out at Courthouse Bay, CLNC. I wasn't there so don't hold me to it. Probably late 50's or early 60s before they ruled it out. Deliver to formation, strip rank and uniform (before muster), orders read, troops ordered to face about. Drums at slow time. Ride to the gate after the walk of shame.
