This thing drags on and on. We used to consider ending things to save lives but apparently not anymore. If they are surrounded they will fight to the death and take the population with them. It's a real problem that no one can win anymore

Mosul.... the future is so clear and yet what have we been doing to insure that future changes.. As the fighting becomes even tougher than before - and IS is forced back house by house and street by street - they will win this fight by losing... in the very way they lose if they are given an Alamo ending. The very real issue is the people ..... and insuring the GoI does not treat them as an enemy population and make for the next cycle of a civil war.
