They should keep in mind the debacle of 2006, a rematch will ruin them. Better to quit while they're ahead.

Sgt Wayne Wood - I'm sorry, the Israelis. Invading Lebanon again will be a disaster for them. They believe the US has their back and has given them a blank check. That's how Wars get started.

the last war was at best a draw. as long as Hezbollah/Hamas are merely proxies for Iran there will always be the problem of logistical supply. Hezbollah has been stockpiling arm & ammunition since the last war.
Israel has no choice... it'a an existential conflict. if the US would back Israel the way Russia backs Syria things might be different.
but first, Iranian expansionism must be stopped.
