One person cannot be a resident expert or speak for 1.6 billion people on the way they interpret the Koran. I'm sure he is probably a good man, however he is simply putting his spin and beliefs out there and trying to persuade people that Islam is not a danger.
Sad thing is he would be tortured and beheaded by many of the radical followers of his faith.

That he would. And equating sharia law with the 10 commandments is somewhat of a stretch for me.

I would highly suggest that this Marine before he goes on a tandem with his beliefs, he just better make sure his family is save from his attackers. Whether it be his religion or his faith he just answers to one God, whomever he is.

I do question Sharia Law- especially when it comes to Women's rights, and did you feel "conflicted" at all while serving in the Corps with Women Marines?
