This should not be happening in the military SFC Joe S. Davis Jr., MSM, DSL and unfortunately it will continue until the military takes away the commanders discretion to prosecute. Prosecution should be with an impartial, independent agency as the military is not capable of doing the job properly. If they had been, this would have ended a long, long time ago. This has no place in civilian society and it certainly has no place in military society where you should be able to trust the person on your right and your left. Prosecute the perps and put them in jail for a long time.

Unfortunately this is not a unique case but regularly experienced than we think. And having "bad paper" for discharge very hurtful for years.

LTC Stephen Kubiszewski,
Sir, Unfortunately, this is all too common. Many of these Service Members, if they have not died by suicide or lack of self-care, are homeless or at risk of being homeless.

Her comment, “Had I been attacked today, maybe things would have been better” is very hopeful, but sometimes even 20 years later these issues have not……..
