At least 2 reported injured by knife-wielding attackers at Egyptian tourist resort

British tourist were evacuated from the Red Sea destination during the first two weeks of November and the Foreign Office (FO) continues to advise against “all but essential travel by air to or from” the Sharm el Sheikh area.

There have been stabbing incidents near and in Jerusalem as well.

There are different ways to view these attacks. They can be viewed as random acts inspired by ISIS to extend terror in the area, as a signal to the beginning of an uprising (intifada) by the Palestinians or that these attacks are a reflection of frustration felt because the Palestinian government and the Israeli government are not moving towards finding any resolution.

There has even been a ISIS inspired stabbing incident in the U.S.. Merced Mohammed stabbed four people on campus November 2014. He had planed to zip-tie his classmates and behead them. He was carrying the ISIS flag during the attack.
