I posted on this last week before Christmas, this is some clarification on the matter.

We can't go to sleep on this, particularly if Biden gets into the White House.

I don't know why the ATF would go after products designed to make rounds downrange more accurate. That would seem to have substantial benefit to self defense and the reduction of collateral damage.
What the ATF should focus on are things that put large numbers of unaimed shots downrange quickly (I'm looking at you bump stocks). Those types of products don't seem to have a lot of hunting or self defense use.
