My wife worked in an ER and one night a guy came in and coded three times and was brought back three times. Each time in between codes, he spoke of demons, hate, and he felt the intense fire from hell...he even said his feet and legs were on fire and they had nothing to do with his medical condition. My wife was talking to him and he asked, she didn't push, about God and belief. She told him and prayed with him and the next day he coded again and was out for several minutes and right before they were getting to ready to call it, he came back. When he came to in the ICU he said he then experienced a very peaceful and beautiful place. Whether or not he saw Hell and Heaven...whether it was a vison, dream, or reality I can't say but I know it turned his life around. He walked out of the hospital two weeks later and changed his life. Just sayin.

That's a great story, Lt Col Shuttleworth.
I have heard of similar occurrences where others have turned to the Lord after such experiences. Thanks for sharing this with us.

He never died and his brain was not working properly. This is common when the brain is deprived of oxygen an this anything experienced that time cannot be taken as evidence of anything. There are claims from people who have an NDE that see nothing. Hindus see the hindu god, muslims see Allah, Christian's see the christian god. Curiously (not) it is exactly what you would expect them the "see" based on their cultural background. I have no doubt he is sincere and believe he experienced what he did. But, I do not accept his dying brain's testimony of what he saw as it cannot be trusted.

How's that for a head slap from the Lord?

This person did not die because what he has expressed is completely out of process from what the bible tells us is the process of judgement, spiritual consciousness and condemnation.
It is possible that his "Out of body experience" which I have experienced while under the influence of anesthesia or what other have experience while under the influence of small doses of morphine is what he is explaining. I don't doubt that he imagined all of this but unless he was brain dead, death wasn't part of the equation. I find it interesting that he does not state that he came to Christ after that experience although I hope that he did. If he has squandered this opportunity by still turning his back on the Lord there may never be another one for him.

Thanks for sharing this, Brother ~
