One of the Navy's most tragic stories.

Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on April 10, 1963 the nuclear submarine the USS Thresher sank with all hands in the Atlantic Ocean 300 miles off the coast of New England.
The submarine unexpectedly plunged to the sea floor and sadly all one hundred and twenty-nine sailors and civilians were lost.
It sank so deep that the sailors have been entombed.
