Cpl Tom Surdi I always wanted one of these, but never did get one, but when I retired as County Sheriff, my Deputies chipped in and got me a Custom made brushed Stainless Charter Arms .44 Special Bulldog Pup which was presented to me at my retirement party. What made it a special order was the Serial number. It included my name, badge number and Department. Very Unique indeed!

Wow, that was an incredible gift you received. Have you fired it, or have you left it as a show piece?

Cpl Tom Surdi - No I have never fired it, came with a carrying case & Trigger lock, a box of Speer SS .44 Spl Hollow points, and a Custom made plaque with two empty .44 Spl casings set into the wood and set so they will hold the firearm to the Plaque with one holding the bbl and the other in the trigger guard. My actual Sheriff's badge was mounted on the lower right corner, the upper left hand corner had my Department Shoulder patch, and the lower left hand corner held my two Sheriff's collar Devices.

PO3 Bob McCord - Of Course they respected me,...if they didn't I take them out back and kick their ass....No, just joking! Respect is earned and I worked hard to earn their respect in every command I was a part of. Just stuff we learned in the Navy, Bob. Stand up for them and they will do the same for you....no mater the rank! Unless................... you are a Boot Camp CC, then you need to kick ass!

I don’t own one, but it’s a great gun and a iconic piece of gun history..
