Well when you give your criminal "room to destroy" and pull your police force away from law enforcement what else could possible be a result. Police need to be empowered not attacked by their own city leadership.
How about rather than tap into FBI for resources they just empower the police they have to actually police their neighborhoods. What a novel concept.

It's a start, but why now? If the technology has been there, why not offer it to the BPD and gain some time working bugs related to location not system then? Wait till the shit hits the fan is being reactive, when you should be proactive. Also those agents there, live in the surrounding areas, so it should've made a situation where highers are briefed and contact made with leaders from Bmore. In drug related crimes, taking down a local crew is stupid. You miss the mark over and over again. If you cannot go after the money, then hit the major suppliers. Those in office who choose to look the other way as long as they get paid, OR those in office who look the other way being they have family ties to the money trail, and no one likes to loose money. Makes the common man or woman suddenly expendable. i'm going to wait, but I'm not expecting much when you're going after the bottom of the totem pole, or what is conveniently called the "kingpin". A REAL kingpin doesn't touch anything, yet oversees everything. Capone wasn't locked up for booze and violence, Edmons wasn't locked up for violence, Meech either. Follow the money. The Wire as much as some were "offended" was more accurate than anything else, just placed into video format.
