It is unfortunate that when the Afghans requested that we bring back their King, we chose to put Karzi, we failed the Afghans by not respecting their choice and working with their choice to improve Afghanistan. I will say that it will take another 10 years to undo the error that we done.

this is sickening to me. I was in Helmond and we didnt ever request air support until the last mission. we were further south east than that as well, The only Army I ever saw was EOD. They were the only ones crazy enough to hang out with us that far south.

10th Mountain, 173rd Airborne and the Brits had major campaigns and deployments to Helmand also...
