I had left the Central Highlands three months previous to the Battle of Dak To,I did run into some guys from my old unit (4th Div.) who precipitated in this action and by all accounts the NVA units were numerous and well armed and supplied.

No, I don't think so. I believe it was part of Operation Apache Snow....(hold on....I'm going to Google...)

Ahh!

It was Hill 937 - fought May 10-20, 1969.

no Hamburger Hill was in 1969 I accually used to play with the children of one of the BN commanders when he and dad were in C&GS at Fort Levenworth. LTC Weldon Honeycutt look him up real charter accually had a fraging bounty on him of $10000 after Hamburger Hill according to some history magizines I read.
