It's one of those that I need to clarify why I gave the thumbs up: for posting the article. The subject is very dear to my heart. Just recently a close friend needed intervention and I learned a lot about VA's crisis line (VA has done a phenomenal job at accelerating their response to the suicide epidemic). At my Memorial Day weekend huge cookout at my house I paused everyone to honor those who have given their life in service to the United States of America in and out of war—and those who struggle with their demons and have the courage to seek help. 20 veterans die from suicide every single day, 365 days a year.

I am a firm believer the unit has the responsibility to send soldiers to the WTB or WTU. This will fence them off in order focus on medical needs. Also, no matter how bad life is, they need the wherewithal to ask for help.
