Another fine example of people who work and earn money being punished and overburdened while people who don't are rewarded, brought to you by Democrats.

Yes, it was and is a largely unfunded mandate, something the Democrats specialize in.

I can only say what affects me, before ACA, I had a reasonable plan with low deductible and now working for the same company I pay more and my deductible is 3 times what it was. The company helps out by giving up a card to help pay two thirds of our deductible. My son was like those in the article, young and healthy had a reasonable plan thru State Farm about $90.00 a month, since ACA he pays $300 for a plan and he has never had to use it.

Yeah I remember thinking I would go on Obamacare the last time I was unemployed. NO DEAL they said........you have to purchase COBRA until it ends or pay the annual fine for no health care. Wow and Cha-Ching!!!! Most people that support Obamacare are completely ignorant of their other healthcare choices or the large financial burden it places on people. Some that love it of course are the uninsurables and those that never really had any real chance of ever getting insurance and we are all paying for their Obamacare premiums, they are not covering their cost themselves.

No veteran should ever have to pay the fine for not having health insurance. If you are a veteran and don't have health insurance it's an automatic qualification for VA health care coverage.

PO2 Robert Aitchison - I did not know that I thought I was stuck either fine or no insurance. The other thing is a lot of Army and Marine grunts suffer from gout after age 50-55 because of leg muscle overuse in the Infantry years then you start to get sendentary around 50-55 and time to pay the piper. I've been paying for treatment out of my own pocket not the VA but I wonder if the VA would ever cover it. I think I have better care paying out of my pocket then VA though. My current doctor is attempting to help me get rid of gout attacks or reduce them to zero via better diet and so far it is working. My suspicion is the VA would have me on the pills and suffering from periodic attacks forever.
