Thanks TSgt Joe C. for letting some of us know that on February 3, 1889 outlaw Myra Belle Shirley who was more infamously known as Belle Starr was killed when an unknown assailant fatally wounded the famous “Bandit Queen” with two shotgun blasts from behind.
Man and woman do not know their time.
"A standout among outlaws in the Wild West met her death on February 3, 1889. Belle Starr earned her reputation through a web of outlaw friends and dead husbands. She was known as the “Bandit Queen” and rode her horse while dressed in velvet skirts and feathered hats. Of all her crimes she was convicted for just one: horse stealing in 1883."

TSgt Joe C. My husband's family has some cassette tapes that one of his distant cousins was being recorded on and he was talking about how he remembered his mom and dad talking about Belle and how they had met her through some of her family members. Her brother Eddie was killed in the town that we live in! All very interesting stuff. Thanks for sharing!
