I can accept a lot of what is said, in the sense that Movement is a good way to help burn off stress. It has been known for decades that Stress is cumulative, and if it is not relieved it will eventually cause problems and the worse being Heart Attacks and Strokes, and only slightly less is taking that stress out on your loved ones.

As a Firefighter / EMT for years I had lots of stress, and additional stress that my first wife loaded on me was no help but I found a great way to burn it off. I would go back into the lower parts of my property and find a fallen tree, and start to chop onto it with a hatchet. Some times I would chop on it for hours, screaming at it and making a lot of kindling and chips that I would use in my burn barrel. When I finally walked back up to the house I was mellow, had a bunch of kindling and would be ready for a good night sleep. I knew I was stressed, but I never associated it with PTSD, until I had my meltdown many years later.

Capt Waddell, thanks for the post. Good reading and I might resemble some of that.
