The efforts of the Japanese technicians to save the Daichi and Daini nuclear power plants with their ten reactors is a great story of heroism, courage, and self-sacrifice. After fighting to save the reactors, and losing three of them, the fight to keep water in the fuel rod storage pools began. Losing that fight could have meant evacuation up to 150 miles away, even evacuating Tokyo for years if the wind was blowing that way when the storage pools went up.
It's 53 minutes long, but a great story of quiet, unassuming men who fought for days to keep the unthinkable from happening to their country. I saw it this evening on Nova, and had to share.

16,000 dead in the whole earthquake and tsunami, but had those guys lost their battle it would have been much worse.
