I have no issue with you expressing your political opinions about Gov. DeSantis. I do find it very offensive that you have named him "of Satan". Neither Christians, or Atheists should use this epithet with any human. Christians shouldn't because they know that a human being has no characteristics with a fallen angel who is the epitome of evil. Atheists should not because they don't believe in God or any of his purported creations. In the same way I have never stated that anyone was like a unicorn.

Let’s look at this objectively as you look for political points vs the point Govs Abbott and DeSantis are trying to make…
1. The border is not secure. Even the Democrat leaders on the border are conceding that point and even asking the President and the DHS Secretary to do their job.
2. Since they are not doing their job, more people are coming in. In fact, they are enabling them.
3. Governors by law cannot deport illegal immigrants as this is a Federal authority. But which states take on the brunt of the illegal immigration pouring in records across the border? What does the President do, he ignores and/or challenges the laws meant to deter people from coming and staying here illegally. But they have no problem using the law, inappropriately, to keep these people here vs addressing the issue? That’s not going to backfire on DeSantis it only proves his point.
Think about what the Sheriff is doing…. He’s not going to charge DeSantis (because he knows this is pointless) and is essentially getting some of the people sent to MV to claim they were misled. As an incentive they get a special immigration visa to serve as witnesses, after which what happens? Does no one see the hypocrisy in claiming these people were misled and then a Democrat Sheriff (whom little to NO ONE in Bexar County wants him to pursue this issue) offers them a special immigration visa to use them similarly? I live in Bexar County and a lot of us are looking forward to voting our sheriff out in 2024. This will backfire on him if he continues to pursue this national issue while ignoring the many times we’ve encountered truckloads of trafficking and dead illegal immigrants. He is yet another enabler.
I don’t like seeing these people used. But it starts at the border and through to unwillingness to enforce our laws by our President. My state takes on a significant amount of the crime, drugs, and human trafficking issues and we’re tired of the states in the north claiming they will accept these people by providing sanctuary, and then go on to claim they have a crisis when a few hundred are delivered to them. All, by the way, in the same manner the president has already been doing to small towns throughout the nation which have fewer resources to deal with the influx than NYC, DC, and Chicago.
