In a "free" market, business and employees negotiate whatever works for both of them. When the government dictates prices and wages, "free" is no longer applicable

I will say agree on the price aspect but you do have shady bosses an owners who wouldn't pay a decent wage. I know you can go somewhere else if you don't like the job but things don't cost dimes quarters an dollars like they did when you were my age. Cost of living an education were more attainable in the 60-80s. Now degrees are meaningless depending on field an good blue collar jobs are disappearing to outsourcing. Many people don't want to pay prices for american made an american wages. Many want cheap low quality crap sadly.

PFC (Join to see) because of the ‘reasonable’ cost of living in NC, $15 minimum wage would close many, many small businesses and numerous family-owned businesses

Everyone deserves some sort of decent wage but liveable is hard based on the individual. I know 15 is livable for a single person in Philadelphia because I made it at one point in the last few years I afforded a studio apartment, car payment, insurance, phone credit card ect all my monthly expenses with 75 extra to throw into savings but it wouldn't be liveable for a single parent. An if you make 15 an hour as a single parent you can't qualify for certain programs such as rent control or Medicaid. Depending on employer medical insurance is expensive. Not trying to change subject but just stating. Minimum wage should be increased to something beyond 10 dollars but agreeing to what amount will be hard. Many states already raised their wages over the last 5-6 years.

I agree with a wage increase; however, it should be geared towards the cost of living in the state. In Philadelphia, NYC, DC,and CA I could see a higher minimum wage due to the cost of living.PFC (Join to see)

I am not smart enough how this will impact employment and inflationary pressures.
