So, I've had the wildfires in Oklahoma come within 100 feet of my home, before the firefighters were able to get them under control, and I had to come to terms with what was important to take with me from that home. Came down to my family and my dogs. I've also had a small house fire in the kitchen we were able to put out before it caused any serious damage. NOT the same! The president needs to stop trying to resonate or empathize with others by exaggerating and/or making things up. He's not black, he's not Puerto Rican, he's not Italian, his son was not killed in War. The irony here is, he doesn't need to do this in many cases. Losing a son for example is already tragic enough... To inflate the cause of his death is disrespectful to that son. Hanging out with diverse people and immersing yourself in/embracing different cultures is a good thing, claiming you're one of them is completely different.

I'm definitely not a President Biden guy. But I really don't care about presidents staying in the Whitehouse or making trips to the site of a disaster. Does anyone really think the president's vacations aren't working vacations? I've worked disaster scenes where politicians show up. Honestly, they are mostly photo ops that take resources away from the real work.

Give me a politician who calls the EOC and asks, "what do you need?" any day over a politician looking to do some virtue signaling.
