Republicans are loyal to their party, and their reelection goals, and have abandoned their oath and duty to support and defend the Constitution.
Trump supporters don't care about a Side State (Guiliani), which isn't imaginary, but cry an alleged deep state.
The same Republican MOC who decried Democrats withholding documents, now falsely claim the rules Republicans established to disenfranchise the, then minority, Democrats, are now somehow unfair. The true snowflakes hate playing by rules they set when it benefitted them.
Republicans won't impeach Trump, regardless of the evidence. They are filling the Federal bench with unqualified judges, which will give them the advantage they seek in lawsuits, so ignoring the President's personal attorney serving as a shadow Ambassador is acceptable to stack the bench.
If the Republicans hold true to Trump, they had better hope their is never another Democratic majority and President. Of course, they'll cry about it being unfair, and against the law

For his most ardent promoters, inc. congressional republicans, attacking the whole process from beginning to end, is all they got. Spinning the established facts will not work.

I have an idea for rules.
Everybody shuts the fuck up.
We find out the facts in public testimony, and witnesses are cross-examined by members of the appropriate committees.
We vote, come what may, based on those facts.
We move on, when the process is over.
