I read the article. It reads what BLM really thinks about Black males and family. It appears Karl Marx believed the same thing.

It seems that their agenda is not only one of racial equality but gender equality and sexual orientation equality as well. This one point hammers this home and serves as context for the point mentioned in the article.
"We build a space that affirms Black women and is free from sexism, misogyny, and environments in which men are centered."
The article itself is a little misleading when it cherrypicks the phrase "We are committed to disrupting the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure" and uses it as a basis to make the claim that BLM are working against "the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure". The part the cherry picked quite ignored is the very next word, "requirement". That doesn't say that BLM is against "the Western-prescribed nuclear family structure" but that they are against the idea that it is the only valid family structure.
