Then you would be good with states making their own decisions on abortion and other issue too then, right, or do you just want to get stoned? Don't tell me abortion is settled law, it is not. There has never been a single law passed by congress, signed by a president to make it legal.

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Point me to the place in the constitution that gives the federal government the authority over abortion and not the states? Point me to the legislation passed by Congress and signed into law addressing abortion on the federal level. You can't, so save your time. If drug use can be determined state by state, then why not abortion?

Those of you on the left like to pick and choose when you are federalists or not. On drug use, let the states decide, on abortion the feds have to decide, on gun rights (which are actually addressed in the Constitution) the left wants states to restrict rights. Are you getting in the federalist boat now or are you a states rights guy just when it suits you?

1stSgt Nelson Kerr - Roe vs Wade is a decision by the court not a piece of legislation Nelson. It was a bad decision based upon no real law being interpreted. Abortion was illegal for 185 years (under the ratified Constitution) and then miraculously became legal after the court said so with no law being passed, no amendment to the Constitution etc. The court has reversed themselves before so don't give me the old "the court is always right" story.

So, are you now a federalist that sees states rights as more primary than the federal government?

Your lack of understanding about the legals system of the US and how the three branches work is your problem. SC decisons are law.
