Best to keep our F-35 squadrons ready for APAC deployment, if required. Provide support to national security of allies too. The Israel - UAE relationship is still very young and selling stealth fighters to the UAE might strain this relationship in youth. Kushner is pressing this sale, irrespective of the risks of ruining the new regional relationship built by his father in-law, Trump, because the intent is selfish.

We don't know, but it is very possible Kushner hinted at the sale, and used it as a bargaining tool in getting the historic UAE peace agreement. In that case, losing the sale would jeopardize the Israel-UAE relationship. Remember, UAE wants the F-35 very much, and Israel has raised no objections to it.
