Pretty cool bird. I heard that they weren't allowed to fly people or cargo on it though. Never heard why.

TSgt David L. I've got more time than I can count in the back end of a KC-135. It was the primary transportation for getting SAC bomber crews to Vietnam.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - I'm sure. I have a bunch of C-130 and a bit in the C-5 and C-17 time but nothing compared to yours.

TSgt David L. I bought a nylon rope hammock in Thailand on my first tour, used to tie it over the boom operators pod and swung/slept my way over the Pacific.

Lt Col John (Jack) Christensen - Nice. We had some guys that were either in Korea or the PI and had hammocks made out of parachute/550 cord.
