Thank you, my friend SGT (Join to see) for sharing the official music video of The Pretenders performing "Brass in Pocket"
Wonderful upbeat song that brings back memories of serving in Germany 1981-1984
Chrissie Hynde and Jimmy Scott teamed up to write the bulk of the songs. When James Honeyman Scott died in 1982 of heart failure due to a cocaine overdose, it shook up the band which took time off as they grieved.
James Honeyman Scott's "original and versatile style is credited in helping to shape the early 1980s new wave movement. He also co-wrote a number of songs for the band such as "Talk of the Town", "Brass in Pocket" and "Precious". He died in London, England, of heart failure caused by cocaine intolerance at age 25."

Lyrics
"Got brass in pocket
Got bottle, I'm gonna use it
Intention, I feel inventive
Gonna make you, make you, make you notice
Got motion, restrained emotion
Been driving Detroit leaning
No reason, just seems so pleasing
Gonna make you, make you, make you notice
[Chorus:]
Gonna use my arms
Gonna use my legs
Gonna use my style
Gonna use my side step
Gonna use my fingers
Gonna use my, my, my imagination
'Cause I gonna make you see
There's nobody else here
No one like me
I'm special so special
I gotta have some of your attention give it to me
Got rhythm I can't miss a beat
Got new skank it's so reet
Got something I'm winking at you
Gonna make you, make you, make you notice
[Chorus]
'Cause I gonna make you see
There's nobody else here
No one like me
I'm special, so special
I gotta have some of your attention
Give it to me
'Cause I gonna make you see
There's nobody else here
No one like me
I'm special, so special
I gotta have some of your attention
Give it to me"
