These camps are ideal but some like Camp Serenity in SE Asia (now closed), can be really over-the-top or illegal. There are some 40 camps around America. Some of these do violate restrictions for safety purposes and while stacking up and being responsible is great, putting kids exposed to hypothermia is not right. Overall, some kids benefit and self-reliance can only help them. Brat Camps are a good name.

I read about these camps, sometimes they work, sometimes the kids leave worst than they were prior.

Im not being mean but these camps can prove useful so later on down the road when they become a behavioral problem and be a street person out of spite they might recall those cold nights ...
