I wrote this story seven years ago and thought of it as I watched a video of the fences that now surround our Capitol. Maybe this will explain why nothing surprises me anymore...

Great story Captain Jack! It would seem like none of the congressmen or senators read the Bill's they are passing, which is what they signed up to do for their constituents...but don't do it! Seems like a big party to me...

It's hard for me to tell the difference between humorous and funny. I have a strange response to pain. I laugh. Once, in the middle of a stroke, I tried telling jokes to the paramedics while they attended to me, but they couldn't understand me because one half of me was paralyzed. The paramedic speaking with a doctor at the hospital remarked, "He's strangely upbeat." That's me. Strange...
