SGT Bodine,
Well I can see why "Democrat members are demanding a bigger role in the drafting of the report.." Just a couple points:
"[Gowdy]found himself again on the defense in late November. A Republican staffer on the Benghazi committee named Bradley Podliska alleged that he'd been fired, in part, for not embracing what he claimed was the committee's excessive attention on Clinton. In a wrongful termination suit, Podliska claims that the committee's investigation "changed significantly to focus on Secretary of State Hillary Clinton and the State Department and deemphasize the other agencies that were involved in the Benghazi attack." Podliska's suit also names Gowdy personally as a defendant. In the complaint, Podliska claims the congressman defamed him by publicly criticizing his handling of classified information and releasing details of Podliska's work history in violation of federal law."

And it seems Congressman Cummings has had some very specific issues to raise with Congressman Gowdy's conduct:
"In an October 18 letter to Gowdy, Cummings wrote that Gowdy's claim was wrong and the CIA had informed the committee that the information in Blumenthal's email was not classified:

"On October 7, 2015, you sent me a 13-page letter making a grave new accusation against former Secretary of State Hillary Clinton. Specifically, you accused her of compromising national security and endangering lives.

"The problem with your accusation--as with so many others during this investigation--is that you failed to check your facts before you made it, and the CIA has now informed the Select Committee that you were wrong. I believe your accusations were irresponsible, and I believe you owe the Secretary an immediate apology."

Politics is politics, but the urge to win at all costs and make this tragedy a political issue is sad. The families have had enough, the Pentagon told Gowdy's committee their requests for information were getting ridiculous, and the committee embarrassed themselves trying to hound Secretary Clinton during the marathon public hearings. Don't hold your breath. By the way, the headline seems to be wrong, and the Congress members referred to are "Democratic" not "Democrat" that's a real give away as to their attitude.

SGT Santana~ nothing? This has been what, the 11th investigation into the Benghazi tragedy, and this last one was the most expensive and longest Congressional investigation in history? They were so far out there they asked the Pentagon to find a guy who had called in to a radio show. It was pretty silly and wasteful, even before they grilled Secretary Clinton for 11 hours and came up embarrassed.

A tragedy is a tragedy and there was an honest AAR conducted at the highest levels. Like every such event from the bombing of the Marine barracks in Lebanon through the many attacks during the Bush administration and up to Benghazi, Americans have come together to honor the dead and fix what went wrong. This time, it's all about throwing mud at Secretary Clinton.
Did you know the Republican Congress denied the Administration's requests for additional funding for security at State Department facilities around the world? I believe it was about $250 million cut.
Funding that might have provided for that additional security.
