BREAKING NEWS 7/26/17 Trump Announces Ban On Transgender Individuals Serving In Military

With the one Soldier I dealt with it was by far the biggest disruption you could imagine. I wish them well, but it did require intensive amounts of time on a reoccurring basis and the time and resources could have been spent on other activities. Each person is different and I am biased by a limited sample size.

Transgender wasn't a recognized term or a real issue a generation ago.
In a communist or other totalitarian society it would be a reasonable assumption for everybody to be treated by the government - however those societies tend to determine who lives and who dies.
The military should be focused on readiness of the force which included the bonafide health of its members.
1. A very important aspect of the news is that President Donald Trump that "transgender service members COULD be forcibly separated" not that they categorically would be in each and every case.
2. The most important aspect is that the US Government is repenting from recruiting transgender people by design which the former Obama administration embarked on.
3. The former Obama administration pushed fro expanding all roles to women, recruiting transgender people into the military; modifying Title IX which is a comprehensive federal law that prohibits discrimination on the basis of sex in any federally funded education program or activity; and pushing school districts into unfunded mandates to modify rules and facilities to accommodate an unspecified number of potential transgender winnable students.
4. Each administration needs to count the cost and determine which policies it wants to embrace in keeping with the philosophy and vision of the POTUS.
5. The old order and era of Obama has ended. Many mourned some of his decisions. I am grateful he is retired and look forward to each and every one of his appointees being replaced soon.
Each person is created in the image of God and is therefore inherently valuable. That does not mean that everybody has a right to be in the military, in any sense.
I look forward to this news cycle moving onto something of substance. Of course in the Washington, DC that is akin to a forlorn hope :-)
