Oh, that is not good. It just opened! I just saw that the company that built it has been accused of unsafe practices before.

Wow, TSgt David L. I haven't heard that yet, however I have heard that this was the first time they had built a bridge like this, it was built off site then trailered in. My bet is they didn't do a soil survive. I just heard about the the prior problem. Look for my other post about the Tampa toll road.

Cpl Scott McCarroll - I flipped over to the news when I saw your post. I watched the Men's Paralympic Hockey team beat Italy They won 10-1, BTW. 3 or 4 Marines on the team including an EOD Gunny. Guys are kicking ass!

hmmm the bridge was just completed Saturday. Faulty design? sabotage? or short cuts on material? I do hope they are able to get to the survivors quickly.

Here's the thing about building in Florida, while I was there liveing in Tampa there were building a new toll road, it was elevated as they were going they hit soft ground causing the concrete road support call sank about a foot. Construction was stopped until they could figure out what to do. I worked in the Sismic serveies in Texas. Working my way up from juggie to working in the recording van. We got what can only be explained as a contour map of the area we were recording. We were looking for oil. But to do something like this and not having done that to my way of thinking is liable.
