This article (and headline) is a huge nothingburger. Big deal if it belonged to her or to someone on her staff. Big deal if it was a government or a personal computer. Big deal if it contained sensitive information or not. Those issues don't change the fact that it was stolen from the Capitol building. Those issues only impact the severity of the crime, and they have nothing to do with a Pelosi lie. The AP reported the story wrong. Blame them for not accurately reporting the actual crime that indeed occurred.

It is a big deal. When the FBI breaks down someone's door because they are looking for the Speaker's laptop with classified info, and it turns out it was a staffer's laptop used for only presentations (and likely therefore would not have been given the same level of attention or violence) it MATTERS. When the media runs with the story to sensationalize things, it MATTERS. And when no one involved (looking at you, here, Nancy) publicly calls the media to account, it MATTERS. When the Media is using your name in lies to advance a false agenda, and you do nothing to correct the media's lies, and you do nothing to set the public straight, PUBLICLY, then you bear a portion of the burden of the false narrative.

Additionally, the FBI broke down a door (with a no knock warrant - the same type of warrant the left hates, unless it is used against their enemies, but I digress) based on these lies - and they didn't even have the right house to begin with, they targeted the woman involved based on OTHER lies. Yes, it Matters.

SFC Casey O'Mally - The article is not about the FBI's tactics. It's about Pelosi supposedly lying about her laptop. That's what the sensationalized, clickbait headline focuses on as a means to rile up anger against her. That's what I'm addressing. If you feel the need to take it in another direction, that's up to you. I'm not taking that bait though.

LTC Kevin B. The article is almost entirely about the FBI's tactics. The headline is "Pelosi and FBI caught in lie."

Not just Pelosi. Pelosi AND FBI.

FBI lied about laptop and used the lie to violate the rights of a citizen. Media sensationalized the lie and the raid. Pelosi (arguably) lied by omission in not setting the record straight, and allowing the sensationalism as well as not speaking out about the raid which was based on lies.

But the BULK of the article was about the FBI and their tactics. Which was why it was the bulk of what I addressed.

And it is kind of ironic that you are bitching about an ACCURATE sensationalized headline, when the article discusses (in part) FALSE sensationalized headlines.

Was this theft determined by a court case determining theft of property? What's the court docket on that? Who was the prosecutor and judge presiding over the case?

Or.....maybe they are still in jail because they are on video attacking police officers, destroying federal property, and loudly communication threats of violence against our elected representatives....ya think? Trump wanted any black lives matter protesters that destroyed federal property locked up for 10 years...but he told these folks, who did much worse, to go home in peace. Little bit of a double standard there?

Gee, if that were Hunter’s laptop the FBI would be yawning. Or if it was Hillary’s lap top with classified material the FBI would ignore it also!
