SPC (Join to see)
SGT (Join to see) - you made my iPad crash lol. My favorite part of the article is the pointing out that Marines are the most spirited. I wish there was more spirit coming out of the Army (speaking as a citizen). It's plain to see Marines first mission is to carry on that spirit of their corp.
Another thing is the mention of pride in a soldier's unit patch. It's important to have pride in your unit, and it's patch. I wish the patch of my reserve unit had more detail in it. Some unit patches are so tough they can make an enemy surrender. Others are just more bland.

SPC (Join to see) - That would've been a MUCH better first response - contributes to the forum.

This reminds me that during this weeks All American Week that we are celebrating 100 years of the 82nd and 100 years of only 4 units remaining in the Division from its original manning, the 325th Infantry Regiment, the 319th Field Artillery Regiment, 307th Brigade Engineer Battalion(nee 307th Engineer Battalion) and Division HQ.
We are also celebrating 100 years of the 327th Infantry Regiment (now in the 101st) and the 320th Field Artillery Regiment (now in the 101st and 173rd)(originally of the 82nd); the 173rd Infantry Brigade minus subordinate units except for 4/319th FA (Battery D, 319th FA)(originally of the 82nd) and the 1/143rd Infantry (Company A, 143rd Inf)(originally of the 36th Infantry Division/Brigade).
AATW!

Oh and another thing for the Marines out there - You're not the only ones with a battle streamer embroidered with Chapultepec.
For those of you that do not get the reference - "From the halls of Montezuma,..."
