This led to their Alliance in WW1, Along with Russia,,, I think that was called the triple Entente.

Thanks for reminding us TSgt Joe C. that on April 8, 1904 Britain and France signed an agreement, later known as the Entente Cordiale, resolving long-standing colonial disputes in North Africa and establishing a diplomatic understanding between the two countries.
As 1stSgt Eugene Harless points out this agreement laid the basis for the Entente agreement which also included Russia which resulted in the Great war breaking out after Archduke Ferdinand was killed.
