SFC (Join to see) thank you for the interesting post. I am following how the west was won/taken and plan to ride part of the the 150th commemoration longhorn cattle drive between TX and KS. It begins in San Antonio in April and ends in KS. Lots of great history around here.

I do know that the Pony Express only lasted a very short time...not even a year if I remember (without googling)...due to the completion of the Railroad!
