Thanks, but no thanks...
Its a scam as far as I (and many informed folks I know) are concerned
Ask your insurer to cite a single case that went to trial then research that case yourself.
Research how many lawfully carrying citizens have been charged with a crime that would be covered by the very restrictive conditions for coverage your company applies.
Research exactly what your insurer will provide for what circumstances.

What every single person I know that did the leg work found is.... this is a scare tactic used as a marketing tool.
Its a sales pitch.....

Perhaps its different in other states, perhaps there is some state whose DA is anti 2A even though the state is a shall issue state, and the risk of prosecution is real even for justified shoots.. Ive seen no evidence of any such state, but perhaps its out there.

All I know is the only ones claiming prosecution even in justified shootings by lawfully carrying citizen is a risk is, the insurance salesmen and the gun groups that use fear tactics to get support for their flavor of gun rights activism.

This is an experienced law professor, not just an academic, but a real practicing defense attorney that has some very good points to make reference speaking with the police

Mr. James Duane, a professor at Regent Law School and a former defense attorney, tells you why you should never agree to be interviewed by the police.

That was an outstanding video, thanks for the link! The follow-up by the cop was excellent too.

Regarding the insurance, I am willing to pay for peace of mind. For me, that's the ROI. Just like my auto insurance and homeowners insurance, I pay for it hoping I never have to use it. You are right, the chances of me ever needing it are statistically very low, but so are a lot of other things that actually happen that turn people into victims.

I'm not trying to talk you into getting the insurance, just explaining why I did.

SSgt Christopher Brose - "You could say that about a lot of different kinds of insurance. You don't need it... until you do. Your observation about state AG might be valid, but all it takes is a local sheriff or police chief or individual cop to turn your world upside down after it has already been turned to sh*t by a shooting or weapon draw, or even just an accusation. Your case wouldn't have to go all the way to trial before costing you thousands of dollars or worse."

Cool, I understand you point.
do this for us though, Cite the cases you can find in your local, that a legal licensed concealed carry was charged and required to defend themselves against said charges for the lawful use of a weapon.

any case where the carry was otherwise legal, but charged with illegal carrying , or charged in a self defense shooting

These are the exact marketing scare tactics used to convince legal folks to by carry insurance ..
They cant site a case where it did happen and they came to the rescue ...BUTOHMYGOSHWHAT IF IT DOES....you'll be ruined and rot in jail.
ok like who?
Well there was that guy No name, no case site.

And there was that other guy bob who was charged in a self defense shooting last year...(they will fail to mention bob was also a drug dealer and so not legally carrying)

And there was that lady who was arrested after a gun was found in her car on a traffic stop (they will forget to tell you she was DUI, and this illegally carrying a firearm)

ask the to site a single case where the person was charged with JUST illegally carrying a weapon and later found NOT GUILTY...
Im sure there is a case some place, odds are it has happened,,,, but odds are also about the same as lightening hitting a power pole, and the transformer falls in your pool, which is connected by metal water pipe and you get electrocuted while sitting in your bathtub cleaning your AR15 pistol, and the local cops charge you with possession of a SBR because the barrel extension "could" mount a collapsible stock, and a collapsible stock was found in your gun room (along with your 16" AR15 rifle)

I looked at USCCA SSgt Christopher Brose and have been a subscriber with them in the past. I just feel he is the King of mass marketing, almost like you've won a cruise! In the end I chose I CCW Safe.
