The opioid manufacturers have made their billions, so now it's okay to issue directives to reduce prescribing them.

Related, my favorite quote of the article: "And when possible, use ibuprofen instead." Seems the Army got that memo in the 80s.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel This all comes from Doctors getting bonuses for prescribing massive amounts of the drugs. Doing this and making Congress to pass laws on how Rx refills are governed only hurts the people, like me, that really need the medicines.
