Of course not, neither are low gas prices that hide all the externalities involved with gasoline use. We love our cheap gas at the pumps but we don't want to pay for the environmental fall out, at all.
The Democrats are just a little more honest about the true cost of fossil fuels and that's just something we the public don't want to deal with.

SPC Kevin Ford
SPC Eduard Romanov - No, but I don't have to be an expert to watch the news and understand externalities. How much are we now paying in increased adverse weather events? How much do we pay in health costs due to breathing in smog? I don't know the true cost but it doesn't take too much examination to realize it is a significant amount for us to keep dumping pollutants from burning fossil fuels into our fishbowl.
We are doing the equivalent of a factory dumping their industrial waste into a river and complaining when it is suggested that we are all paying for that waste and perhaps the factory should either stop doing it or absorb the true cost.
