He may be entitled to his opinion, my opinion is he shouldn't have a job teaching our kids!

I agree, move him to the janitors closet and let him just sit there every day and keep him away from the students.

“My goal, as it relates to my students, is to get them to do everything to get to college,” he said. "I wanted to challenge them to reach their academic potential.”

News flash, we DO go to college.

He graduated from the same school in which he teaches and has a BA in History. Woopie do! I think he has a long way to go with both academic credentials and life experiences.

Maj Kevin "Mac" McLaughlin I enlisted as an airborne grunt out of a sense of duty, then went on to degrees in philosophy and political science and was honored with Phi Beta Kappa. I served alongside brilliant men in my unit in the 82nd. This teacher is ignorant.

Get them into college? I wonder what he would say about any student showing an interest in vocational school, or would he show himself to be the very thing Mike Rowe fights on a daily basis?

Or better yet, a kid who has been offered an ROTC scholarship and no others. Would he encourage them not to take it?

He is condemed by me too. This guy had the most pitiful excuse known to man for his comments that day. He has no shame therefore should never be allowed around children of any age. He is a pathetic excuse for a human being. Thank you all for your service.
