Dude pass me those Doritos man, you've been holding out on me. Hey I don't have any Doritos dude I think its this bear biting my head and its my skull kinda crunching.
We hike and canoe in the boundary waters area in Minnesota and have been attacked by Black bears in the area on one occasion and believe me when I say once is enough. Like it or not I have always carried a sidearm when in bear country. I am not going to be another pile of bear scat in the woods and neither are the people in my camp. If the Rangers don't like it I can camp in other parks.

It has to be scary at all times when camping in bear country. I totally understand.

You know it CPL Pettway these were black bears and to look at statistics these bears commit most of the bear attacks on campers and hikers. I figure a gun violation is worth the chance when lives could be at stake. We banged on pots and pans when we seen then come into our camp and that drew them in even closer. Our string of fire crackers got them going and they left us along finally.
