Since I became mature enough to consider War and the costs associated, I have lived with the thought, "Democrats start Wars, and Republicans stop them." I was still in a single digit age group when I made this mental connection and I've never changed my mind. Since Vietnam our military has been hamstrung by politicians, and is now having problems with it's own Generals and Admirals. What's happening in Eastern Europe shouldn't be an American consideration but with the interjection into hostilities by the current administration it has become one. Did you see the story that says Biden is going to let Ukraine use longer range missiles now. Who put Him in charge of the war effort? No one's used Nukes, yet. Now Trump has to figure out a way to de-escalate all of this while not causing either side to lose "face". I'm a firm believer in "Peace, through Strength"

"Democrats start Wars, and Republicans stop them." = not true. Both parties have been involved with starting and stopping wars. If someone wants to argue otherwise, they will be parsing through the data trying to find an argument that supports their predetermined conclusion.

Strange, there were some in the US said that in 1938. We now know how that worked out.
We cannot sit back and allow Putin to expand his empire. Appeasement never works.
