Canada struggling with illegal border 'crisis' of its own ahead of crucial elections

I live in Canada. I don't live in Quebec but I do read about it in the local paper. I do hear about it on the local TV and radio.

please, nobody come tell me that this is Faux News and that it must come from The National Enquirer or the weekly world news. It is true! Recently, I showed you a video that showed the Royal Canadian Mounted Police trying to intercept migrants Crossing at an illegal border crossing. The RCMP officer advised them that if they are legally in the United States and they cross at an illegal checkpoint, they lose their protected status.

The RCMP officer recommended they go 3 km away to a legitimate border crossing post and apply for
Asylum there. The migrants didn't want to listen so they basically screw themselves over because they enter Canada breaking the law. This does not help their case whatsoever. This is probably what the story is talking about. Not legal entry points but illegal entry points. It is sad to see this and I do pity these migrants that want to escape but since they are breaking the law, Canada does not empathize with them anymore.
