LTC Greg Henning Stationed on USS California CGN-36 and USS Arkansas CGN-41. Traveling Up to Victoria by Car/Ferry and up to Esquimalt by Ship was not Uncommon for Us. On Some Level there really is No Border there. The Home of the Canadian Pacific Fleet and the U.S. Northern Pacific Fleet are Kissing Cousins. It was Kind of Humorous though the Fishing Territory Battles that would break out with the commercial fishermen sometimes resulting in a Kidnapping or two that would require both Coast Guards to Respond and Sort Out the International Situation.

PO1 William "Chip" Nagel - We took Nimitz up the Straits of Rosario to Nanaimo, where there's an underwater range. Nothing like running a 100kton ship at 30kts at night within a couple hundred yards of shore.
