So if I'm reading your website correctly, if I were to take the Network Systems Administration course (and pass), I would gain the MCSA Windows Server 2012 and CCNA certifications?

John - yes and no, the Network System Admin program consists of 5 classes in addition to the 3 classes that are part of the Computer Support Specialist program (pre-req). Once you complete all these classes you will be ready to take and pass the MCSA and CCNA exam, which is included in the program. Please let me know if there are any other questions!

Can you provide stats on your post-training placements?
How widely accepted are the degrees or certificates?
Or, who is the accrediting body?

Bryan - great question, I am working on the placement data and will share once I have it, our goal is not training for our career programs but to get all our students employed whether its a new job or advance their skills for something better that they have been wanting to do.
Our programs are certificate programs around Microsoft, PMP, ITIL (ITSM) and Lean Six Sigma. Certifications validate knowledge and is what most hiring managers look at, which can set you apart from others applying for the same job.

Bryan - with the data I have, our placement rate is 82% with an average hourly rate of $22.00 over the past 2 years.

Come with me in Mr Peabody's Way Back Machine to some time in the late 1980's when New Horizons was just one office in Santa Ana, California. It was one of several training centers where I taught desktop applications and programming. They had a special offer in those days to purchase unlimited access to regular classes for 6 months at a one time fee. Special classes came at a discount for those with the package deal. There was one young lady, a recent high school graduate, who attended classes every day, sometimes repeating them. She was hard to miss (very attractive) and I shared lunch with her one day and asked her what she was up to. It turned out that she was deciding on a career. Her high school GPA and SAT scores were sufficient to gain her admission to any school she wanted. Her daddy was wealthy enough to buy her way into any that balked at admitting her. However, she didn't know what she wanted to study. She had no clue as to what her career choice might be. Thus, she had contrived a plan to gain all the computer skills she could and then hire herself out to a Temp Agency so that she could explore the business world and the opportunities that it offered. She wanted, in her own words, to find out what people do at work and discover what she might enjoy doing. However, she continued, whatever career she chose, she was certain that she would be working at a computer and decided that she needed computer skills. She was right.

The experience left me frustrated. How, I wondered, did someone already beautiful and born to wealth, also become entitled to wisdom. I had none of those things. Life isn't fair, is it?

Great story. I'm out of up votes but I'll get you tomorrow. Do you know whatever became of that young pretty lady?

PO1 John Miller - Sadly, no. I moved around a lot in those days dividing my time between teaching and consulting. The teaching provided me with exposure to clients who needed to get a task accomplished and realized that they were going to need a lot more than a little training to do it. It was a great way of marketing my services. However, I have no doubt that she either succeeded or married well and is raising a brood of beautiful children (at least I hope so)

this was a great story, thank you for sharing! A story like that, how could she have known... definitely possessed wisdom, sounded like a brilliant young lady.
