What a nightmare. I am glad to see some have been saved from this. However.... there is the looming question about the individuals who have been paying this for a while...

SGT (Join to see) You're right. That's the $64,000 question. What's going to happen to those that have been making payments and some had to sell their cars or house to get out of debt? This whole deal stinks. Carter stopped the collections, but there is still a lot of work to do.

What about the ones who already paid and had to sell their vehicles and refinance their home?

SSG (Join to see), I wonder how that will be handled myself. I hope just stopping the collection by Carter, isn't the end of it.

SGT (Join to see) - Very true. It's a shame this happened this way. There has to be trust between Soldiers and trust between Soldiers and the Army. This will have major effects on enlistments in the future.

SSG (Join to see) - I was hoping I wasn't the only one thinking that. How can any recruit believe that the offer won't come back to bite them, if they re-enlist for a bonus and to go to war? Their CG was a louse allowing this to happen. It makes me sick.
