This is a battle that has been going on for a long time. I would hate to see a violent civil war break out - because we would find a way to get involved. Old loyalties die hard.

Sgt Wayne Wood - agreed. If Catalonia gains independence, watch the Basques start again. I wonder how many other regions of Spain - or other ethnically diverse regions of European countries - will push for the same?
