Not many people know about this, CW5 Jack Cardwell, but Eddy Arnold's "second business" was real estate. He owned a great deal of land in Brentwood, TN (Williamson County) and the joke was if you wanted to buy land in Williamson County, chances were you had to buy it from Eddy Arnold!
He was a longtime member of Brentwood Country Club, which is located in an antebellum mansion called Midway (between Nashville and Franklin). In the mid nineties, it was not uncommon for Eddy and his wife to slip in for an early dinner. No one ever made a fuss over them entering the dining room, but we always knew he had arrived because the little group playing dinner music would immediately start playing, "Make the World Go Away"!

She was fourteen when she performed this piece with Eddy Arnold, Maj Marty Hogan.
Cattle Call was one of Eddy Arnold's signature songs and the "Western Writers of America chose it as one of the Top 100 Western songs of all time." CW5 Jack Cardwell
