Interesting. VA gave me a cordasone shot in left hip last week. Said that eventually I will need a new hip. They also gave me a shot in left toe for gout. The most painful shot I ever had.

Input is appreciated. Story mentions that the specific hip implant was supposed to last for multiple decades, but failed after just one. Let's hope that you don't see others in a few years from now.

I'm nursing both of my knees hoping I last long enough not to need replacements. The only reason I don't feel a lot of pain is because of surgery cutting nerves in the lower back but still feel the pain above the incision, impingement on the nerve root of the spine in 2 places, nerves in the legs that no longer work and the final straw is the stroke to the thalamus that interferes with pain signals. Don't get me wrong I still hurt but its probably less then if everything was functioning properly.
